We are a small, 100 member fellowship of believers worshipping our Savior Jesus Christ and hoping to impact our community and the entire world with His message of salvation. We are an independent Baptist church but we have people who grew up in a variety of other denominations and backgrounds. A Discipling ChurchFirst Baptist Church has a variety of ministries to meet your families’ needs.
Our Activity Center/gym is used by many outside groups as well. All our ministries are handicapped-accessible. A Ministering Church |

FBC believes that all of us are called to minister. Almost all our people have some kind of ministry during the year. Some cook and others paint, we have teachers, listeners, craft people, drivers, prayers, singers, and hard workers. |
An Evangelistic ChurchEvangelism is actively pursued at FBC. People are being trained and encouraged to share their faith. We have an active Missions program. Missionaries speak regularly. We have sent missions teams to Jamaica and still maintain close ties with that work. A Worshipping Church |
Our worship services focus on the Word of God. We have great music from our choir, small groups, band and soloists. We use a blend of traditional and contemporary music to bring praise to our Lord. We like to say that there are no strangers in our church. We are very friendly and informal. |

Currently our Pastor is Hugh Giesbrecht, who has a Bachelor’s degree from Grace University in Omaha and a Master’s from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary in Portland, OR. He has been pastor since Sept., 1992. Hugh and his wife, Beth, have been married since 1978 and have three children. We have committees for Christian Education, Missions, and building maintenance. We are led by lay deacons, who watch over the spiritual health of the congregation. |
